Watch Before It’s… The main item on the Brundidge City Council’s Tuesday meeting was to review Budget Amendment No. 1 and to consider Resolution No. 2015-10 which would amend the budget as recommended.Brundidge City Manager Britt Thomas reviewed the line items to be amended with a resulting surplus reduction from $235,477 to $207,148. The council approved the resolution to amend the budget.Thomas told the council that the Energy Efficient Grant for which the city had applied came in over budget. He recommended that the council reject all bids for the project. The council voted as Thomas recommended.The council considered the two bids for the grass cutting at local cemeteries. BanDanner’s bid was in at $585 per cutting and Wayne Grant bid $525 per cutting. The council voted to accept the low bid and awarded the bid to Grant.
