WHITTIER – The Rio Hondo Symphony Guild will present its 10th annual Garden Tour from 2 to 5 p.m. April 23. The tour will be of three beautiful gardens within 3 miles of each other in La Habra Heights and Whittier. Music will be provided at each tour stop by members and friends of the Rio Hondo Symphony, and light refreshments will be served. There also will be a “gate prize” – an original painting by local artist Jay Gould. All proceeds from the event go to support the symphony, which provides free concerts for the community and at local schools several times during the year. To qualify, at least one person in the household must have legal status in the United States, and the household must not exceed the very-low-income criteria set by the federal government.
